Special Heirloom Pink Pearl apples for Thanksgiving.
We have a beautiful sleeper of an heirloom apple in this week's $65 delivery. Pink Pearl apples are creamy yellow to green. Medium in size it is prized most for its delicate flesh, which is vivid pink to red in color. Highly aromatic the Pink Pearl has a balanced sweet-tart flavor with nuances of raspberries and grapefruit. We bookend the Pink Pearls with one of our favorites, the Opal apple. They were first cultivated in the Czech Republic and are grown exclusively by Broet

Ambrosia and Opal apples and tree-ripened Tucker Farms Satsumas.
I am happy to have again scored the 1st of the season, tree-ripened "Tucker's Farm" Satsumas. They are the small ones with some good citrus tart sweetness. I hope to be switching to stem and leaf Satsumas next week. It's apple season so I continue with an excellent two-fer of Opal and Ambrosia apples. Ambrosias were "discovered" by accident growing in an orchard in British Columbia in 1990. We choose only top quality premium WA extra-fancy apple grade for all your deliverie

Ode to Opal
A slice, a bite of an Opal apple offers one, through their taste buds. a sensual existential opportunity. It's a moment of sweet repose... where you can become one with health and satiation. It's that exquisite moment of self-care and deep satisfaction with yourself and your relationship with the world. It's the experience of sweetness, plus unique flavor like lemonade but healthy, with a crisp juiciness that I believe might make Martha Stewart drool.
