The Sweetie apple is a new variety of Malus domestica developed in New Zealand. It’s a hybrid cross between the Royal Gala and Braeburn. Sweetie apples have an oblong shape that is narrower at the bottom than at the top with an overall yellow color and a blush of red striations.
