Taste Treat Extravaganza!

Every once and a while we taste test so much fantastic fruit that we can't limit our variety, so we decided to add an additional fruit this week. We call it a Taste Treat Extravaganza!

Page mandarins - first of the season. If you pile on the ridiculous, over-the-top, excessive, extraneous, magniloquent use of adjectives when you are excited about something, then this is the fruit for you!

Pink Lady apples have a crunchy texture and a tart taste with a sweet finish. The white flesh is juicy and crisp, and offers a “fizz-like” burst of flavor.

Red Grapes - These have that A-List Hollywood pop, but they're immediately tannic. They seem to have been bred for their size and texture, but not flavor. They’re sweet, yet the bitterness is overwhelming and holds them back from being an elite grape.

Blood oranges also are celebrated for their taste. A ripe one is very sweet and mellow, with subtle flavoring hints of raspberry and strawberry.

Navel Oranges - There's a pleasing array of segment sizes within this tough-peeling navel, and they all seemed to pop with the most ideal sweet-tart balance.

Bartlett pears have a classic pear flavor with lots of juice and a smooth, buttery texture.

Rainforest-Alliance certified bananas taste sweet and tender so they are easy to eat.
